Fiction and Friction
Saturday 6 June 2026
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Studio, Memorial Hall
Two absolute masters of Australian letters take the stage. Steve Toltz (discussing his savagely funny pandemic-afterlife romp, Here Goes Nothing) and literary powerhouse Debra Adelaide (recounting the humour and compassion of her latest release, When I Am Sixty-Four) explore the art of balancing profound tragedy with crackling wit. Expect laughs, gasps, and everything in between. Moderated by Namila Benson.
