PRESENTATION ONE
Identity X Poetry (Upper Primary)
Identity X Poetry is Solli Raphael’s best-loved poetry and creative writing presentation. With themes of youth, growing up, identity and creativity throughout, this presentation is centred around creative writing, self-expression and what Solli calls the ‘inseparable pair’.
After a poetic opening, Solli will take students on his journey to becoming an author/advocate that just so happened to begin on a regular Monday morning in school. He will use his journey as a basis for the writing activity that will follow, in which students will take inspiration from their own identity to write a short piece … and a few brave students can share their writing.
This presentation includes:
* poetry readings and performances from Solli
* poetry and creative writing exercises and workshop takeaways for students
* Solli sharing his journey to becoming a writer and an advocate
* Q&A and audience participation opportunities.
