A 17-year-old changemaker, passionate about the planet and the people. In the past year, Stella has accomplished a few feats, including a self-organised climate strike with over a 500-person turnout. She spoke at the “question the candidate’s” night for Bellingen Shire and attends regular community events as a representative voice for youth, for Bellingen Shire and beyond. One of the founders for “Youth for Refugees”, a youth-based program aimed at welcoming newly resettled families; raising over $1500 with their first event. She is an official board member of Oz Green, an international, not for profit organisation, aimed at environmental education, awareness and action. Stella’s recent achievements have placed her as “Young Citizen of the Year 2019” in the Bellingen Shire Council. Her passion and interest lie in the political, environmental and cultural paths of the future, and how we can achieve as much equity as possible for as many people as possible worldwide.
