Miriam Verbeek was born to Dutch parents in Bandung, Indonesia in 1954 and migrated to Australia as a child. Throughout a career in academia and management consulting, she advocated for environmental and humanitarian causes. She’s a mother, homemaker, nature lover and bushwalker, and lives with her partner on the east coast of Australia.
She has authored, co-authored and edited numerous academic books and papers. Her independently published fiction books has enabled her to combine her love of fantasy and real life. The ‘Songs of Si’Empra series’ has received praise as being “…original, which is difficult to be…a blend of expected features for fantasy with new ideas”, “Unique content context and characters…”, “lyrically written, deeply emotional, and full of intrigue …”
