Dr. Kim Satchell is a surfer, poet, performer and environmental philosopher living on the Mid North Coast of NSW. He is widely published in a range of leading scholarly journals on creative research, cultural studies, everyday life and the environmental humanities.
Kim has extensive teaching experience in the liberal arts at a tertiary level, focusing upon self-awareness and critical thinking to support students to achieve at a professional level. As a result of his doctoral research he specialises in creative practice applied to everyday life and the ecological crisis. The emphasis upon self-reflexivity and the narrative development of lived experience, coupled with the art of story-telling and everyday poetics provides a nourishing scope of co-ordinates to explore creative development and to navigate the key challenges of the modern world.
