Experimental fiction are forms of writing that introduce innovation, particularly using technique. A tryptych is a classic example, three panels, three stories standing side by side. Short stories and poems are usually favoured, but there is innovation is small increments also. Techniques to twist real and imaginary, history and fiction, all roll into this discussion.
