Omar Musa

Omar Musa is an author, visual artist, rapper and poet from Queanbeyan, New South Wales. 

His debut novel, Here Come the Dogs (2014), was longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award and Miles Franklin Award and he was named one of the Sydney Morning Herald’s Young Novelists of the Year in 2015. Fierceland (2025) won the 2026 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Fiction and was named one of Guardian Australia’s Best Books of 2025.
