David Lindenmayer

Professor David Lindenmayer is a world-leading expert in forest and woodland ecology and conservation biology. He has maintained some of the largest, long-term research programs in Australia and developed expertise in forest biodiversity, logging impacts, salvage logging, plantation design, biodiversity in plantations, and multiple disturbance interactions.

His latest book, published in 2024, is The Forest Wars: The Ugly Truth About What’s Happening in our Tall Forests.

David is among the world’s most highly-cited scientists. He has written 50 books and published almost 1,000 peer-reviewed papers in international scientific journals. His research has been recognised through a number of prestigious awards.
