Kumi Taguchi

Kumi Taguchi is an Australian journalist, broadcaster, and presenter. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, to a Japanese father and an Australian mother, she grew up in rural New South Wales, where she began learning classical violin at the age of five. 

With over 25 years of experience in media both in Australia and abroad, Kumi is currently the host of SBS’s Insight. She is also a Sydney to Hobart sailor and a desert marathon runner.

In her beautifully crafted memoir, The Good Daughter, Kumi embarks on a journey to understand the father she never truly knew – and, along the way, herself.
