Bellingen Poetry Slam, The Bellingen Memorial Hall, June 9, at 7pm

Poetry Slam Rules

The Bello Poetry Slam is on again at The Bellingen Memorial Hall, June 9, at 7pm. We extend the invitation for poets, and wordsmiths of all descriptions to get writing – and practising!

It’s the same format as previous years – prepare 3 poems of 3 mins (maximum) for 3 possible rounds … i.e. ONLY 20 slammers start in round one, 10 get through to the second round and 5 to the final round. The poems must be original and have not been winners in other Spoken Word competitions. You will be judged (judges picked spontaneously on the night) on 3 main criteria, the subject form of the poem; your performance delivery and the audience reaction.

Registration is free – Ticket for event required. You must register with your details by emailing Elizabeth Routledge on bellopoetryslam@outlook.com

Tickets will be on sale from March 2018 from the Waterfall Way Visitors Centre, Hyde Street, Bellingen.
