2018 Testimonials

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the organisers and volunteers for having me along this year, I had an absolutely wonderful time and I felt very lucky to be part of such a great event.  Congratulations on a fantastic festival!

I am writing to express my thanks and appreciation for a wonderfully organised writers’ event at Bellingen this past weekend.
In particular, I would like to reflect on the magnificent stage set up in the Memorial Hall. It provided an elegant and invitational setting – how superb to make us feel as though we were all together sharing a lounge-room space.
The artistic design was so impressive, from the candle-lit bust to red gramophone so artfully positioned amongst the bookcases. The plush velvet chairs and tastefully lit desk made me want to go home and write!
Thanks so much for making the panel experience such a visual feast.

So glad the festival turned out to be a huge success and to hear about the good feedback for my talk.  I was certainly very pleased with my bit of it, the size of the audience and the many questions they asked. I wish I could have stayed longer and had a look around your lovely town.
Best wishes Blanche d’Alpuget

Warm regards, Dan Findlay

Congratulations on a fantastic festival. I had an absolute ball. It’s one of the friendliest festivals I’ve ever been to. I hope to come again!
All the very best and thanks again – it was lovely to meet you and the festival team and your generous on the ground volunteers.

Thanks again for inviting me to the BRW Festival. I thoroughly enjoyed taking part. Your committee had selected a brilliant range of speakers in the adult program, and the students and teachers I met during the schools sessions were very engaged and interested, with several evincing real writing talent. It was a really worthwhile exercise and I was very pleased to conduct those sessions.
